Opening a Midtrans account, with no file missing

Documents for individuals and companies, and the order to submit them. Tick them off, or print the list.

Prepare what fits your business type

An individual needs two documents. A company needs more, and its bank account must be in the company's name.

Individual

A business in your own name, without a PT or CV.

  • Owner's KTP (ID card)

    Foreign owners: passport plus KITAS, KITAP or KIMS.

  • NPWP (tax number)

    Required to accept credit and debit cards, and listed among Midtrans's documents for individuals. Have it ready from the start.

  • Bank account in the owner's name

    The account holder's name must match the name on the KTP.

  • Link to your shop

    A live site with clear product information and prices in rupiah.

Company (PT, CV)

Including a PT PMA. Foundations have their own list in Midtrans's documentation.

  • Latest company deed

    Deed of establishment, plus any deed of amendment.

  • SK Menkumham

    The ministry decree for the deed of establishment or amendment.

  • Director's KTP or passport

    Foreign director: passport and KITAS.

  • Director's NPWP and company NPWP

  • NIB (business ID number)

    Or an older SIUP/TDP, plus any other licence your line of business needs.

  • Bank account in the PT or CV's name

    Not the director's personal account.

  • Link to your shop

    A live site with clear product information and prices in rupiah.

Credit and debit cards need an extra review
Midtrans's starter pack covers bank transfer (virtual account), GoPay and QRIS. Cards need an NPWP and wait for review. Other methods are requested later from the + Metode Pembayaran menu in the dashboard, with documents and a signed addendum.

Who does what

The account and the money are yours. We build the shop Midtrans checks and set up the payments.

What we do

  • Product pages with photos, descriptions and prices in rupiah
  • A contact page with your address, WhatsApp number and business email
  • A shop terms page: shipping, exchanges and refunds
  • The shop live on your domain before you apply for activation
  • Payment Link set up, and every active channel tested with a real transaction

Contact and shop terms pages are not listed as requirements by Midtrans. We add them anyway, because buyers look for them before they pay.

What you do

  • Register with your own name, email and phone number
  • Upload the documents and accept Midtrans's terms
  • Use your own bank account. Buyers' money goes to your Midtrans account, never through us
  • Create the API keys and send them through a password manager, not in a chat
We never ask for your password or OTP code
If someone claiming to be from Dewata Tech asks for either, do not give it. We work through a separate user you add yourself, and you can revoke that access at any time.
FAQ

Common questions

Yes. Midtrans accepts individuals with a KTP and an NPWP. The payout account must be in the owner's personal name. If the business is a PT or CV, the account must be in the company's name.

To accept credit and debit cards, yes. Midtrans's list of documents for individuals also includes the NPWP, so have it ready from the start even if you do not plan to take cards yet.

For credit and debit cards, Midtrans says it reports the status of the application within 10 working days. For the rest, wait for email from the Midtrans team. Because the process sits with Midtrans, activation is not counted in the shop's build schedule.

The reasons Midtrans gives: invalid documents or documents that do not meet its rules, a site that cannot be reached, or goods in a prohibited category, such as counterfeits, illegal drugs or gambling. A bank account name that differs from the KTP leads Midtrans to ask for extra documents.

Yes, with a social media, marketplace or product catalogue link. A business registered with a catalogue can only accept bank transfer (virtual account), QRIS and GoPay, though. On the Store + Payments package, your shop is live before you apply.
