Choosing an agency

10 questions before you pay an agency.

Ask any provider, including us. The answers show who carries the risk: you, or them.

Checked September 2026

Almost no website provider in Bali publishes a complete price that includes the year-two cost.
From the pricing pages of the Bali providers we checked. That is why the first question below is about the year-two cost.

Ten questions, and our answers.

A vague answer usually means the risk is yours. Each of our answers links to the page where you can check it yourself.

  1. What is the total cost for year one and year two?

A low upfront price is often made up through hosting, domain and maintenance renewals that only come up once the site is built.

    Our answer

The package price and the annual fee from year two are printed on the pricing cards. The annual fee holds in year two, and any change from year three is announced 60 days ahead.

  2. Is everything promised on the website written into the contract?

A promise that only lives on a page or in a chat is hard to hold anyone to when something goes wrong.

    Our answer

Yes. Our contract may never be narrower than the page: every deadline, guarantee and revision limit on the site goes into the contract.

  3. Whose name are the domain, the website and the Google accounts in?

If the domain or the Google Analytics account is in the agency's name, cancelling can mean losing your address and all your data.

    Our answer

Yours from day one: the domain, Google Analytics, Search Console, Google Business Profile and the ad accounts. Hosting runs on our account while the annual fee is paid, and moves to your own account free of charge on request.

  4. When does the website go live, and what happens if it is late?

Without a written date, a project can drag on for months with nobody accountable.

    Our answer

The number of working days is printed on every package card and in the contract, counted from complete materials. If we are the ones running late, a late discount applies automatically on the final invoice.

  5. What is guaranteed if there are no results?

Nobody can deliver a Google page 1 promise, and it usually only holds for keywords nobody searches.

    Our answer

We do not promise a ranking. We guarantee the work: at least 3 inquiries within 60 days of going live, or improvement rounds at no cost, on the terms written on the guarantee page.

  6. How do I know where chats and bookings come from?

Without tracking you pay every month with no way to tell SEO results from ads or returning customers.

    Our answer

WhatsApp clicks are recorded in your own Google Analytics with the page they came from, and the monthly report names the source. For ads, tracking must pass a test before a single rupiah is spent.

  7. Where do the backlinks come from, and are they bought?

Packages of hundreds of cheap backlinks usually come from networks of sites built to sell links. Google treats that as a violation, and the risk is your site being demoted.

    Our answer

We do not buy links. Links come from directories, local partners and the media, and every link is in the report with a URL you can click yourself.

  8. Who does the work, and how many clients are handled at once?

An agency that takes every client often hands the project to someone you never meet.

    Our answer

A small team in Bali, and the capacity is written on the package pages, for example SEO Done For You takes at most 2 clients at a time. When the slots are full, we say so plainly.

  9. Can I see past client results, with numbers?

A design portfolio shows how a site looks, not what it brings. What you need are numbers: visitors, chats and bookings.

    Our answer

Our case studies carry figures from the client's own Google Analytics, with the owner's permission. For example, a travel website that recorded 20 WhatsApp clicks in 3 months.

  10. If I stop, what do I keep?

Some providers hold back files, accounts or content when a contract ends, so switching vendors means starting from zero.

    Our answer

Once paid in full, the website, domain, accounts, content and links stay yours. We move the hosting to your own account free of charge on request.
